Sunday School

At CBC we believe it’s the church’s job not to simply babysit kids for an hour, but to partner with the whole family to raise a generation of children passionate about loving God and loving others.

What do the kids do? Each week children are encouraged to engage in lessons, songs and crafts with the goal of building an authentic faith.

This is what some of the kids in our Sunday School say about their church :

"It is very good and it is very fun. We learn about God and about other Bible characters. We have nice drinks and biscuits when we are doing our crafts." Joshua, aged 8

Once the sermon is over, the kids join the rest of us to sing in worship.

The children also share with the older church what they have learnt in their session and show us what they've made. We all have a lot to learn from our young people.

Once a month on a Sunday those in Secondary school go along to Costa coffee for something to drink and discuss a passage of the Bible.

We also work with other local churches and run a joint churches youth event called 13amp. This is held at different churches on a Saturday for those in secondary school and takes place every 3-4 months.

From April we are starting an older youth club every 4-6 weeks with other local churches. This is for those 14+

All our staff are CRB checked with full disclosure.
